SRQ Rentals started with a simple frustration: the big booking sites add double-digit fees, route your questions to a call center, and treat Sarasota like a pin on a map. We live here. We wanted a better way for guests to book and for local owners to host.

Zach is a Sarasota native and a United States Army veteran. When he started hosting his own home, he saw how much of the experience and the income the big platforms kept for themselves, and how little ever found its way back to the community. The hardest part was not the hosting, it was figuring out the local rules and tax code to do it right, so he set out to build the kind of local help he wishes he had had at the start, and to give back to Sarasota while doing it.
SRQ Rentals is his answer, built on three promises. Hosts own the direct relationship with their guests instead of renting it back from a marketplace. Fees stay low because the team is local. And giving back is not a marketing line, it is wired into every booking: hosts pledge a share of each stay, 5% by default, to a Sarasota non-profit they choose, from marine science to food banks to youth programs.
The Army taught him that taking care of people and leaving things better than you found them is the whole job. That is what SRQ aims to do for its hosts, its guests, and the town that raised him. When he is not working on the platform you will find him on the water, or volunteering alongside the causes our hosts support.

The price you see is the price you pay. No service fee at checkout, no surprise add-ons. On a typical week-long stay that saves guests hundreds of dollars compared to the major platforms.
Run by Sarasota locals
Every home is verified by our team before it goes live, and every host is someone we know. We are fluent in the local rules and tax code, short-term or mid-term, so new hosts start out set up the right way. When you need help, you reach a person down the road, not a queue.
Stays that give back
Hosts pledge a share of each booking, 5% by default, to a Sarasota-area non-profit they choose. The cause appears right on the listing, so you know exactly what your stay supports.
